Wenatchee School Board has selected Maria Iñiguez and Julie Norton to fill the vacant seats after conducting 20 minute interviews with the seven finalists. The interviews started at 5 and wrapped up at around 8 followed by an executive session between the three sitting board members, Laura Jaecks, Michele Sandberg and Martin Barron.

"Each of the candidates brings a deep commitment to our schools, a unique skill set and the desire to envision an ambitious future for the Wenatchee School District," said Diana Haglund, communications director. "Their unique backgrounds and experience will be a great asset to our district."

The new board members will be sworn in at next Tuesday's board meeting.
