Update: After Wenatchee Police couldn't locate the scene of the incident based on the original account from the teenager who was shot on Halloween night, it was revealed that the victim had been shot by a 15 year old who had thought he was handling an unloaded pistol inside the residence.

"Through the investigation, officers and detectives were ultimately able to determine, with the cooperation of the victim and suspect in the incident, that the victim had actually been shot accidentally by the suspect in a residence in the 600 Block of Orondo in Wenatchee," said Captain Brian Chance.

The 15-year-old suspect was arrested for Assault 1st Degree and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm 2nd Degree. The 14-year-old male who lives at the residence was charged with Unlawful Possession of a Firearm 2nd Degree. Both were booked into Chelan County Juvenile.
