The Wenatchee Valley Chamber of Commerce is now accepting nominations for the 2019 Business of the Year and Nonprofit of the Year finalists.

Communication Specialist Sebastian Moraga says last year's Business of the Year was Cashmere Valley Bank.

"We're looking for a business that provides an example of the rewards offered by the free enterprise system by risk taking, innovation, being a strong community partner." explained Moraga, "We want somebody who's a member of the Chamber of Commerce, and who has at least five years of business in this area."

Last year's Nonprofit of the Year was Chelan Douglas County Volunteer Attorney Services.

"We're looking for somebody who sets a high standard for quality, strategy, execution, and of course impact on the community." added Moraga, "They have to be a member of the chamber, they have to be financially sustainable, and they have to show a strong return on donor investment."

The deadline for nominations is January 15th.

The Chamber will announce the winners for their 2019 Business of the Year and Nonprofit of the Year during their annual banquet March 5th.
