The Wenatchee Valley Chamber of Commerce recently announced it is now accepting nominations for its Business of the Year and Non-profit of the Year awards.

Director of Operations Chelsea Ewer said they are looking for a business that exemplifies the spirit of free enterprise in the Wenatchee Valley.

"We're looking for a business who really gives back to the community, is invested, is a really awesome place to work, and is a true business partner in the Wenatchee Valley." explained Ewer, "They also must be a member in good standing with the Wenatchee Valley Chamber of Commerce and they must have been in business for the last five years."

Last year's Business of the Year was JDSA Law.

Ewer stated that their Non-profit of the Year should set a high standard for quality and demonstrate effective strategy, execution, and community impact.

"Last year was Chelan-Douglas CASA and the impact they have in our community is just outstanding." said Ewer, "So that's what we look for in a non-profit. Somebody that is making a substantial difference and impact in our community."

The deadline for submissions is November 16th. At that point, the Chamber's award selection committee will convene and pick their top 3 nominees in both categories, as well as the winners.

Winners will be announced at the Chamber's annual banquet March 4th. The banquet's format may look a little different this year, due to COVID-19 restrictions. Currently, the Chamber has been review a few different program models, but have not made a decision.
