The Wenatchee Valley Fourth of July celebration is set to return Sunday after not happening in 2020.

Impact Events CEO Kelley Kennedy says they are waiting for one final metric check on Tuesday after an initial check by the Health Department last week.

"When we got the go [last week] and started moving forward. We're holding back on anything that costs money, the food vendors and anything we rent until [Tuesday]."

The Wenatchee Big Band is scheduled to play during the fireworks with other performers, food vendors, L-Bow the Clown and much more at Walla Walla Point Park.

The over the water show starts at 10.

Kennedy says they'll hear from the CDHD with a five-day metric check June 29th.

"We're just pushing forward that we're clear unless they say no, then the cancellation announcement will be out there. We're just telling everybody that we're good. Everyone we've spoken to, the Chamber, or the Health Department thinks it's good."

Shuttles will be running for the event at Walla Walla Point Park, picking up and dropping off behind Penneys at Valley North Center.
