Applications Due by August 20 for ‘Limited Entry’ Okanogan County Hunt
Hunters have until August 20 to apply for the opportunity to deer hunt on 6,000 acres in northeastern Okanogan County. The coveted location is the Charles and Mary Eder unit of the Scotch Creek Wildlife area.
Only 18 hunters will be chosen via a random drawing in late August for the opportunity. Hunters can only take one deer.
"Anybody who is an eligible hunter can qualify for the hunt," said Staci Lehman, public affairs officer. "It's a great opportunity because there is very little competition in this area."
Eligible hunters include those who have passed their hunter education course and all other qualifications that permits hunting in the state.
