Art Workshop is a Way to Honor Dia de los Muertos
Wenatchee Valley College, Parque Padrinos and Link Transit joined forces to produce a free tissue paper flower workshop on the morning of Monday, October 28 from 10 until noon. The event will take place at Wenatchee Valley College in the Van Tassel Center.
"It is absolutely free and open to anyone," said Selina Danko, Link outreach coordinator.
The free workshop serves as an avenue to honor the traditional Mexican holiday, Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead). Some of the flowers crafted during the event will be featured during Link Transit's Art on the Move exhibit on November 1.
During the workshop participants will create papel picado, which is Mexican folks art made of cut designs in tissue paper, and paper flowers.
Space is limited for the workshop, so to register reach out to Link at 664-7624.
