The City of Brewster and Mayor Arthur Smyth are asking residents to conserve water over the holiday weekend in response to a power outage that took place on Wednesday.

The city's reservoirs have been depleted by the outage when a vehicle struck a pole around 8 p.m. taking the Hospital Hill area offline and the current demand on the system is not allowing it to replenish.

Officials say that conservation throughout the weekend should allow the system to recharge.

If you have any questions or concerns, contact the city.
