Chelan Douglas Regional Port Unveils New Funding Programs
Chelan Douglas Regional Port Authority is offering two new economic development funding opportunities for local governments and nonprofits with the Partners in Economic Development Programs.
"The purpose of the program is to advance economic development in Chelan and Douglas counties," said Craig Larsen, business development director. "The regional port understands that partnering with nonprofits and local governments is a great way to accomplish that goal."
For both nonprofits and municipalities, proposals are typically funded in the range of $5,000-$30,000.
"There's a lot of good programs that nonprofits and local governments come up with that can help the economy and the funding is many times the problem. So the port's decided to put some funds available through these programs to help support good, economic development programs through the region," said Larsen.
The port is accepting proposals from Chelan and Douglas county nonprofits and local governments until November 22 at 5 p.m.
