Debates & Voter Turnout

The Presidential debate is tonight [Wednesday], followed by the Washington Gubernatorial debate, both heard on NewsRadio 560 KPQ, starting at five. With this in mind, new rankings show Washington is in the top half of states with the most consistent voting turnout. Web site 24/7 Wall Street dot com says Washington is 16th in the nation for the highest voter turnout during the last four presidential election cycles. Dave Ammons is with the Washington Secretary of State's office and says, more than 80-percent of registered voters in the state cast a ballot in the last presidential election.
