The Grant County Sheriff's Office is warning residents in the Moses Lake area of a man and a woman posing as a Sheriff's deputy and a Child Protective Services agent in order to possibly lay the groundwork for future crimes.

PIO Kyle Foreman said that on Monday the two arrived at a house on the 14000 block of Road 4 Northeast just outside of Moses Lake. The two told the homeowner they were there to check on the welfare of the children living inside. The homeowner initially granted permission for the two to enter the home, but the woman then went back to the car and sat in the driver's seat.

"That raised the homeowner's suspicions. He told the male who was there who identified himself as a Sheriff's deputy to wait outside and to not go into the home, while he went inside to get his gun." explained Foreman, "By the time he returned outside, the man and the woman had left. They were seen driving a light grey Chevrolet Impala."

The man is described as having a light brown complexion, standing 6'2" with brown hair in a crew cut and clean shaven. He was last seen wearing a black polo shirt and green tactical style pants with black shoes. He was also wearing aviator sunglasses and has a tattoo on the left side of his neck.

The woman is described as white, 170 pounds, with long brown hair wearing a black dress with thick shoulder straps.

If anyone has been approached by the two suspects or have any information about them, please contact MACC dispatch at 509-762-1160.
