Former WVC Student And Staff Member Steps Into New Leadership Role
Wenatchee Valley College (WVC) has announced Lindsey Morrow as the new director of Presidential Initiatives.
Morrow will serve in the office of college president Dr. Famous Harrison and will provide executive and administrative support to Harrison, WVC trustees, and the college. The new role replaces the former chief of staff position, according to a press release from WVC communications director Macine Miller.
“I am absolutely honored to serve WVC in this important new role. WVC has been pivotal in my own growth, initially as a first-generation student and now as a member of the professional team. I am passionate about ensuring that we continue to make a difference in our students’ lives and help change the trajectory not only of their futures, but of future generations as well,” Morrow said. “I look forward to supporting initiatives that strengthen connections across the college and community, advance our strategic priorities, and help WVC continue building stronger, more inclusive communities.”
Morrow previously served as an administrative assistant at WVC and the Workforce Education department, where she connected college programs with regional workforce needs, employers, and student opportunities.
Morrow earned a bachelor’s degree in information technology and administrative management from Central Washington University and an associate’s degree in business computer technology from Wenatchee Valley College.

Morrow began the new role on August 24th and replaces Maria Iniguez, who served as chief of staff to Harrison and secretary to the WVC Board of Trustees until late July. Iniguez joined WVC in 2019 but left last month after a series of text messages between Iniguez and two former trustees surfaced. Wilma Cartegena and Paiula Arno Martinez resigned from their seats on the board, but the college has not disclosed a reason for Iniguez's departure.
