Man Charged With Robbery After Stealing Six Pack, Armed with Butcher Knife

A man has been charged in Grant County Superior Court with robbery for his February 18 beer run at a Moses Lake store that resulted with him stealing beer. According to our news partner, iFiberone, Scott Linville entered Ernie's Truck Stop on East Kittleson Road around 3:30 a.m. with a large butcher knife. An employee informed him she couldn't sell alcohol until 6 a.m., however Linville slammed the beer cooler door shut after grabbing a six pack and exited. He reportedly got into a black SUV and headed south on SR 17, but was eventually taken into custody and reportedly admitted to stealing beer. He is charged with first-degree robbery while displaying a deadly weapon and his bail is set at $20,000.
