The city of Moses Lake says the most recent samples taken of the lake's water is showing that most of it is safe for boating and irrigating. The one caveat is that the area near Blue Heron Park has not provided clear test results yet and so the Grant County Health District is recommending people stay out of the lake around there.

There had been a seven-day no contact order after a sewage pipe had spilled materials into the lake. The city estimates about 64-thousand gallons of sewage spilled into the lake.

The Health District did note that blue green algae levels are still high throughout the lake and are warning that there should be no swimming in the lake.
