Moses Lake Pair Arrested After Driver Smokes Heroin In Front Of Officer

Moses Lake police responded to a call of a suspicious vehicle around 9:00 pm Monday night.

Captain Mike Williams said 23-year-old Christian Martinez of Richland and 26-year-old Satara Barrientoz of Moses Lake were definitely caught off guard.

"(The sergeant) approached the passenger window of the vehicle. As he looked in to see what they were doing, a male subject was in the driver's seat flaring up some heroin off of a piece of foil."

Martinez and Barrientoz were booked into the Grant County Jail on simple possession of heroin. The vehicle has been impounded pending a search warrant.
