Multiple Agencies, Farmer, Respond to Fire Near Coulee City

A farmer with a disc assisted firefighters in battling a blaze on Whitehall Road west of Road 4 SE in Douglas County Thursday evening.

Grant County Fire District 13, along with other agencies, responded according to their Facebook page.

As of midnight the fire was not controlled, but activity was significantly reduced and most crews were released, leaving the attack and management to Coulee City fire.

There were reports that multiple lightning strikes were being seen throughout that area all the way to Ephrata and Quincy though the cause of the fire was not listed.
