Numerica Credit Union Funnels Funds Into Local Nonprofits: Brave Warrior Project & Wenatchee Pride

Numerica Credit Union is dispersing $40,000 into nonprofits voted for by locals in four communities, including Wenatchee. The Brave Warrior Project was voted to win a $10,000 grant and Wenatchee Pride came in second place, taking home $5,000 in donations.

"The Gift Where You Life holiday giving campaign was put together to really help the community get engaged and where they wanted to see money going to causes they care about," said Chelsea Maguire, communications manager.

The Brave Warrior Project is a nonprofit that eliminates barriers and provides support to families with children with disabilities, chronic illness, and cancer. Wenatchee Pride is a nonprofit to connect the North Central Washington LGBTQ+ community.

Nonprofits were also nominated for the funding by communities in Spokane, Tri-Cities and North Idaho.
