Pine Canyon Still Closed

US 2 through Pine Canyon is still closed due to a rock slide that occurred Tuesday morning.

According to the Washington State Patrol, the Department of Transportation is estimating the roadway will be closed at least all of Wednesday and probably Thursday.

Some emergency vehicle are being allowed through the area now. Motorists that disobey the road closure signs risk getting a criminal citation.

The two detour routes remain McNeil Canyon Road to the north and Badger Mountain Road to the south.
