Police Searching for Suspects in Quincy Shooting

A 24-year-old man is recovering from a gunshot wound to his leg suffered during a shooting in the 400 block of E Street Northeast in Quincy early Sunday morning.

Captain Ryan Green said the unidentified victim was leaving a family gathering around 1:20 am when a gray Honda passenger car pulled up and an one of its occupants started firing.

Later, there were 3 people seen running from what may be the suspect vehicle.

"Police officers were made aware that a vehicle that could possibly be involved was parked nearby at an apartment complex." explained Green, "They have since seized that vehicle pending a search warrant."

The victim was taken to the ER by family. There were no other injuries.

Two houses and five parked cars were damaged by stray bullets.
