QPD and MLPD Chiefs Speak on Death of George Floyd and Protests
Police Chiefs in Quincy and Moses Lake released letters to the public condemning both the actions of a Minneapolis police officer that resulted in the death of George Floyd, and the violence and destruction that have come with protests of that incident.
Quincy Chief Kieth Siebert said the officer's actions, "Were not in-line with established training nor were they in line with what any human should do to another."
Moses Lake Chief Kevin Fuhr said the actions were contrary to how law enforcement is taught in Washington and that, "We are all members of the human race, we bleed the same color, share the same emotions and should treat each other with kindness, respect and love."
