Shoreline Man Dies in Moses Lake Over Holiday Weekend

The Grant County Coroner's Office identified a man who died in Moses Lake Monday as 61-year-old Myong T. Kim of Shoreline.

The Sheriff's Office says Kim was camping in the area of the Sand Dunes when he entered the water late Sunday night and did not resurface.

Search and Rescue operations were begun though had to stop overnight.

With the assistance of Columbia Basin Dive Rescue recovered the body Monday afternoon.

Kim was not wearing a life jacket.

Deputies are calling it a terrible accident and no foul play is suspected.
