The Valley Devotes Saturday to the 29th Annual Make A Difference Day
All across the Wenatchee valley this Saturday, there are ample opportunities for the community to come out and participate in Make A Difference Day. From Pybus Market to Albertson's parking lot, many locations have been converted into a hub for charitable deeds.
"Oh it's a beautiful day," said Margie Kerr, Make A Difference Day Committee. "I just went up to Ohme Gardens and the Link employees are up there, they're just really working hard."
Many large, local organizations and entities, like Link, are giving back to the community that utilizes their business during their day to day life. Even some of the smallest members of the community, the Boy Scouts and Girls Scouts, are putting in a big volunteer effort on Make A Difference Day.
"(Participation) looks great," said Kerr. "I think this is the best community in the nation, truly. Our community helps all year long, this is just a special day where everyone comes together. It's just fun to see all ages and everybody out."
It's not too late to jump into the making a difference spirit, here is a list of projects to attend if interested: https://wenatcheemkdd.com/projects/
