Three Arrested in East Wenatchee on Drugs, Firearms, and Stolen Vehicle Charges
A plate check in East Wenatchee resulted in the arrest of three felons on drugs, weapons, and stolen vehicle related charges early Sunday morning.
East Wenatchee Interim Police Chief Tom Robbins said a patrol officer noticed two suspicious vehicles pull into the Cedars Inn parking lot off of Sunset Highway.
After running the plates, the officer discovered that one of the vehicles had been stolen from the Kent area and called for backup. Units from East Wenatchee, Douglas county and Chelan county responded, including a K9 team from Chelan county.
"When the K9 got there, they had the K9 sniff the vehicle. At that point they found drugs in both vehicles. They also found two semiautomatic pistols." detailed Robbins, "The drugs they had were methamphetamine, heroin, materials to individually package the drugs, and cash."
All three subjects turned out to be convicted felons, and one subject had a felony warrant.
"It's just a case of an officer being vigilant and watching what's going on in the quiet hours of the morning." Robbins continued, "The officer found these individuals out there that were definitely dangerous felons."
All three suspects were booked into the Chelan County Regional Jail on drugs and firearms charges. One of the suspect also faces additional charges regarding the stolen vehicle.
