Veterans and community members are invited to come out to a Department of Veteran's Affairs town hall Thursday afternoon in Wenatchee.

Public Affairs Officer Brett Bowers says they were delighted to bring resources from the Mann-Grandstaff VA Medical Center in Spokane to Wenatchee to help veterans and community members understand what's going on with the VA.

"The brand new MISSION Act that came out; we know that's been a little bit confusing on the heels of the CHOICE Act, which expired this past summer." Bowers explained, "We want to make sure that veterans and the community at large understand where the VA is at with healthcare for veterans and what we're trying to do to help them reach their goals. At the same time, we also know there's a number of goals that the VA has within its healthcare system and we've got to work with our community partners."

The meeting will be from 12:00 to 1:30 pm at the Wenatchee Veteran's Hall, 512 South Chelan Avenue.
