Wenatchee Parks Seeks Public Input on Roundabout Artwork

The Washington State Department of Transportation is installing a roundabout intersection on Easy Street and Highway 2. Wenatchee Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services department is tasked with art placement at the new traffic intersection.

"We're dealing with the cream filling that goes into the middle of the roundabout," said David Erickson, Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services director.

The parks department is wrapping up the call for artists process and has narrowed down artist proposals to five concepts. The community can weigh in until March 15. The artists will present their concepts on March 15 at 4 p.m. in City Hall.

Construction won't kick off until 2023.
