Wenatchee School District, School Bus Drivers Nearing Agreement
The Wenatchee School District has come to an agreement in principal with their school bus drivers.
Both groups held mediated talks last night, and according to Wenatchee School Bus Union President Andrew King, there is an agreement in place.
King said though the bus drivers did not get everything they had wanted when they started this process 9 months ago, their deal was still better than the previous one.
The deal must still be ratified by union members, and then the school board must vote to approve it as well.
The final picket rally, scheduled for January 29th from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm on the corner of Fifth Street and Mission Street, has been canceled.
