Wind Causes Grant County Wildfire

The high wind gusts have caused power outages all over North Central Washington and Friday evening, strong winds caused a wildfire to quickly spread that was started from a downed power line. The fire started between Highway 28 and Railroad Avenue near Oasis Park and jumped Railroad Avenue to spread to a field. Grant County Fire District 13 and Command 2 of Ephrata Firefighters responded and managed to keep the fire at about five acres.
