WVC Will Host A Visiting Writers Series Reading Including Poet Laureate of Washington

Two renowned poets, along with selected Wenatchee Valley College students, will be reading during the Wenatchee Valley College Visiting Writers Series reading on October 24 at 7. The program is in WVC Music and Art Center, Grove Recital Hall.

Washington State Poet Laureate Claudia Castro Luna and English professor who was the winner of the James Hearst Poetry Prize, Derek Sheffield, are amongst the WVC students that will be reading. Prior to the free reading, Luna will also be leading a free poetry workshop that's open to the public from 5-7 in the Music and Art Center, room 1519. The workshop includes dinner, but space is limited so reach out to Professor Sheffield to reserve a spot.
